Transistors: Philips AC 128s
The Dasy takes it's name from the family 'Dasyuridae', a unique collection of Australian carnivorous marsupials that include the Tasmanian Devil, the Quoll and Mulgara. We are choosing to pronounce Dasy as Daisy because, well it's cute, just like the Tasmanian Devil. The Dasy however is anything but cute and will scream well into the night, just like our little furry little friends.
The Van Diemens Dasy fuzz pedal is based on the classic 2 transistor Arbitor Fuzz Face but with of course, our own touches added. These pedals can come with a variety of options, but all are created with 60s and 70's NOS or reclaimed germanium transistors and NOS or reclaimed capacitors and resistors. These components are hand wired, point to point on a board that roughly resembles the original PCB however it is not PCB, more a hand made perf board. Each pedal comes with an external 9 Volt socket as standard.
